I am always happy to find cheap Kindle covers, especially for new versions of the Kindle. I was able to find a cheap Kindle 4 cover and cheap Kindle Keyboard cover, but now its time for the Kindle Fire. Accessory Genie has just launched a protective folio style cover which is available for just over 10 dollars ($14.99). Not a bad price, especially when the bulk of Kindle covers and cases for the Fire cost between 30 and 40 dollars.
Accessory Genie Kindle Fire Cover Review
First things first. This is a neoprene cover with a clean flip cover design. Along with a neoprene outside, the cover has a soft lining inside to further insure your Fire remains protected. I like the secure 4 corner harness system the cover has too. The top corners are elastic straps and the bottom corners are small pockets, similar to how most leather covers are designed. What this does is secure the bottom corners better to insure your device won’t fall out of the cover.
It is important to note that the case is also compatible with the Kindle Touch. What this means is that to accommodate the Kindle Touch, the cover is about a half inch taller and wider than the Kindle Fire. Not too bad but it won’t be as form fitting as the Kindle Fire case stand by Marware.
Accessory Genies, the company which distributes the case and under the USA Gear name, have a number of discount accessories available for the Kindle, iPad, etc. with solid reviews. Just take a look for yourself. For how cheap the cover is, I was surprised to find that it actually has a 3 year warranty as even many of the more expensive cases don’t even include a warranty.
Overall the USA Gear cover is not too bad of a Cover for the Kindle Fire or even the Kindle Touch. The cover has a great price, warranty and a clean look. Even though it may not compare visually to the NY Times Fire Cover, this is certainly a cover I’ll be watching out for to see how the user reviews stack up. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated also. In the mean time you can read more Kindle Fire cover reviews.
